Munger Mode rating: 2 out of 5 — Sell. Our own rating from the research report below, on business quality first: moat durability and management, with price separating the top three.
Current Price: $148.76 (close, July 31, 2026) We have watched C.H. Robinson for decades. It is the largest freight broker in North America, an asset-light toll-taker on the movement of goods, and for its first twenty years as a public company it compounded capital beautifully. But the honest verdict today is this: CHRW is a well-run, above-average company in a structurally mediocre industry — a business whose moat is real but narrow, whose earnings are hostage to a brutal freight cycle, and which has just been handed a new, industry-altering legal liability that did not exist eighteen months ago. The new management team is executing a genuinely impressive turnaround, and we tip our hats to them. But we don't confuse a good jockey with a good horse.
