Warren here, with Charlie chiming in throughout. Gen Digital is what became of the consumer half of Symantec. The enterprise business went to Broadcom in 2019; the consumer piece was renamed NortonLifeLock, swallowed Avast in 2022 for roughly $8.6 billion, was rechristened "Gen," and then swallowed MoneyLion in April 2025 for about $951 million net of cash. Today it runs two segments: Cyber Safety Platform ($846 million of revenue last quarter, 61% segment operating margin): Norton, Avast, AVG, and Avira antivirus, security suites, VPNs, and privacy tools sold as consumer subscriptions.
