Munger Mode rating: 3 out of 5 — Hold. Our own rating from the research report below, on business quality first: moat durability and management, with price separating the top three.
Charlie and I have spent the better part of an afternoon working through Ralph Lauren Corporation's most recent Form 10-K for fiscal year ended March 28, 2026, alongside what we can reasonably observe about the broader luxury and apparel landscape. What follows is our independent assessment, arrived at without reference to anyone else's holdings. As always, we are interested in the business first, the price second. Ralph Lauren is a designer and global distributor of premium and aspirational-luxury lifestyle products. The franchise — built by Mr. Ralph Lauren himself starting in 1967 — spans apparel (men's, women's, children's), handbags, footwear & accessories, fragrance, home furnishings, and a small but image-burnishing hospitality portfolio (The Polo Bar in New York, Ralph's in Paris, Ralph's Coffee globally).
